“Made in France, Made with Love

Wines & Spirits- 860 reasons to rediscover them at “ProWein” Düsseldorf 2018

The French Pavilion will play host to 860 French wine-makers and traders at the 25th edition of ProWein, the international wines & spirits trade show to be held from 18-20 March, in Düsseldorf.

Business France has opened a website www.frenchpavilionbybusinessfrance.com/prowein2018, specially for participating professionals wishing to put together their meeting agenda.

New in 2018: The “#BonjourProWein Showroom” presents a selection of 100 French wines and spirits revealed at tasting sessions upstream from the show, in three European countries. This is an opportunity for visitors to discover new products and/or producers (Hall 11, Stand A159). For the second year straight, Business France will be organising the French Pavilion, which includes 860 exhibitors from all of France’s wine-making regions across nearly 6,500 m² in Halls 11 and 12. The 58,500 international professionals expected to attend will be able to recognize Pavilion participants by the Made in France, Made with Love banner.

For the first time, the “#BonjourProWein Showroom” (Hall 11, Stand A159) will be presenting a selection of 100 French wines and spirits selected at three professional tasting sessions upstream from the show, in three European countries: Germany, Belgium and Sweden.

The French Pavilion will be supported by regional organisations (interprofessional councils and regional collectives) in bringing the companies together:

-Alsace (Interprofessional Council of Wines of Alsace),

-Bourgogne-Franche-Comté (Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Burgundy Franche-Comté);

-Bordeaux Country, Southwest (Nouvelle-Aquitaine Food Agency – AANA) and

-Loire and Valley (Dev’up & Food’Loire);

– Rhône Valley (InterBeaujolais,

 -Inter Rhône & Auvergne – Rhône-Alpes Wines Committee),

-Occitanie (Inter OC & Sud de France Développement),

-Provence (Interprofessional Council of Wines of Provence) and

-Corsica (Interprofessional Council of Wines of Corsica);

-National Interprofessional Association of Wines of France (Anivin) & France Vin Bio bring together multiple regions of France.

A communication campaign via social media, attracting 1.5 million views in 2017 and bearing its own hashtag, #BonjourProWein, will be run again in 2018.

“France is back: borne high by a generation of young vintners and start-up entrepreneurs, France’s wines are more in tune than ever with societal expectations, insisting on traceability, naturality and the direct connection between producers and consumers. Come visit us at the ProWein show to experience all that France has in store for you!”

Christophe MONNIER, Director of the Business France AgroFood Department.
