LONDON, UK, 28 AUGUST 2024 — The Institute of Masters of Wine (IMW) is proud to announce that the German Wine Institute (DWI) has joined its international supporter community as a Major Supporter.
The official collaboration marks the support the German Wine Institute have historically provided and continue to provide in the running of the stage two seminar in Germany. In 2023, they also co-hosted the IMW’s 10th international symposium which took place in Wiesbaden, and organised the final gala evening, where each of Germany’s wine regions were showcased.
Monika Reule, CEO of the German Wine Institute, commented: “The Institute of Masters of Wine is one of the most outstanding institutions of excellence in the wine world and the DWI has collaborated with it for many years. Our most recent partnership culminated in hosting the Institute’s 2023 International Symposium in Wiesbaden, so we are delighted to take our collaboration to the next level by becoming a major supporter of the IMW.”
IMW’s Executive Director, Julian Gore-Booth, shared his delight in DWI joining as an official supporter. He said: “The return of DWI as a major supporter is only fitting after their co-hosting of the IMW Symposium last year and their continued support for the IMW seminar in Germany. We are delighted to be officially recognising this ongoing and valued relationship.”
The agreement futureproofs a valued fixture of the seminar infrastructure as part of the MW programme and provides the foundation for further collaboration, strengthening the joint activities of the IMW and DWI in their shared commitment to supporting the IMW student body and promoting excellence in wine. |
