Connoisseur Magazine Editor Axel Ritenis  visits an iconic and very historic Colonial Railway Hotel in Thailand in the Royal resort of Hua Hin now known as the CENTARA GRAND Beach Resort & Villas, regarded as being amongst the finest hotels not only in Asia, but the world, and discovers a treasure trove of history and great experiences. He discovers the professionalism and dedication of the hospitality staff on display – maintaining the “well-honed tradition” of serving guests with  “unbridled warmth and enthusiasm.”  This correspondent experienced first-hand the commitment and dedication to duty, in the numerous Bars and Restaurants of the Royal Resort hotel ..during this their Grand 100 year Anniversary. He found it heartwarming to witness such a “display of dedication and excellence in hospitality”, and the showcasing of “The Finer Things in Life” for the benefit of their beloved guests …many of whom have returned on numerous occasions to this grand old Hotel. 

 

With 13 hectares of private landscaped gardens, Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas, Hua Hin has a unique old-world charm that reflects “Old Siam”. Considered as Asia’s most romantic hotels, this luxurious resort offers charming colonial-era architecture with teak work furnishings of the superbly maintained guestrooms and suites, which date back to 1923.
