VDP.Die Prädikatsweingüter joins the IMW international supporter community
The Institute of Masters of Wine is delighted to announce the VDP.Die Prädikatsweingüter as an IMW supporter.
VDP.Die Prädikatsweingüter is the world’s oldest association of premium winegrowing estates and home to around 200 of Germany’s most talented winegrowers. Across diverse regions and philosophies, they share a tireless dedication to producing handcrafted wines that express their origin. The VDP.Eagle is the symbol of the VDP.Die Prädikatsweingüter.
The VDP and IMW have had a close relationship for several years, where the VDP has added significant value to both the MW study programme and wider IMW activities. In addition to expanding and enriching the networks on both sides, we hope that this partnership will further strengthen the perception and reputation of German wine.
Theresa Olkus, VDP managing director, said, “For many years, we have maintained a special relationship and appreciation for each other’s work. The IMW’s global network is unique in the world. We are delighted to now acknowledge all of our joint activities in an official partnership.”
Sarah Harrison, IMW head of study programme and development, said, “Over the last year alone, the VDP has hosted a trade tasting, an introductory course, and organised a stage two student seminar. We are therefore pleased to officially welcome the VDP to our international supporter community and look forward to our partnership continuing for many years.”
