For 270 years they  have been building an unrivaled portfolio of fine wines and spirits. On Wednesday 6th February they  mark this occasion by inviting customers to their biggest and best Portfolio Tasting, with 300 wines and 18 whiskies on show, spanning the length and breadth of our portfolio, there’s sure to be old favourites and new gems, ripe for discovery.

The Wines

The company are delighted to announce that their  latest signing; the inimitable Raúl Pérez, is attending at  Somerset House to present his current releases. He’ll be joined by producers and representatives from many of our wonderful estates, who will be on hand to showcase their wines, from our ever evolving portfolio, including:

Spain:                      4 Monos Viticultores, Mas Martinet, Sei Solo, Hermanos Pecina and Ossian

Austria:                  Muhr-Van der Niepoort

South Africa:       David & Nadia

Jura:                       Domaine du Pelican

United States:    Walter Scott, Eyrie, Rhys Vineyards

Much-loved classics from Champagne, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Alsace, the Loire Valley, Rhone, Italy and Germany will be well represented with an enticing spread of bottles. Luminaries such as:

Champagne:       Philipponnat, Egly-Ouriet, Ulysse Colin

Bordeaux:           Chateau Grand Village

Alsace:                 Domaine Weinbach

Burgundy:         Bachelet Monnot, Robert Chevillon, Genot Boulanger

Italy:                    Paolo Scavino, Azelia, Luigi Oddero,

Loire:                   Domaine de la Taille aux Loups, Lucien Crochet and Thibaud Boudignon.

The Whiskies

Their  relationship with the great distilleries of Scotland has never been stronger, giving them unrivalled access to both Scotland’s finest casks, but also her most precious bottles. This is why, in addition to having over 300 wines on show, they will  be devoting a whole room to exceptional whiskies. 18 fascinating drams will be available to taste including a selection of Speyside single malts from the much loved Flora and Fauna series, unpeated 15 year old Caol Ila, Johnnie Walker Ghost and Rare Port Ellen and Mortlach 16 year old, all the way up to the very rare, very special Talisker Bodega 40 year old.

Justerini & Brooks as well as many of the producers themselves will be on hand to guide guests throughout the tasting. There will be cocktails from J&B Rare to sample as well as cheeses from Paxton and Whitfield.
