Boisedale of Belgravia is situated in an elegant Regency town house, just north of Buckingham Palace Road and a short stroll from Victoria. Its bars, restaurants and private dining rooms are open on weekdays and Saturday evenings and offer a selection of menus to suit every budget.
Lunch at this Belgravia landmark is definitely not for wimps, as midday meals often carry right through to late afternoon & well into evening-drinks time, too. The comfy tartan-tinged surroundings certainly encourage lingering, as do the ‘good wine list & even better whisky list’. Live music & tasting events add to the buzz in the evening, while the food continues the Scottish theme.
The usual suspects are all lined up including plenty of salmon & Aberdeen Angus in various guises, as well as innovative modern dishes based on prime Scottish ingredients. Steamed Shetland razor clams in a light sauce of white wine, shallots & wild garlic may be followed by rack of lamb with caramelised veal sweetbread, confit of baby fennel & anchovy oil.
Portions are generous, so save space for pud if you have a sweet tooth. Otherwise, you can always round the night off with a wee dram.
Welcome to Boisdale of Belgravia and Bishopsgate, London’s renowned and lively restaurants, bars and private dining rooms with live jazz every night, and the Lamb at Hindon, the historic coaching inn with bedrooms, set in the rolling hills of Wiltshire.
