Italian Wine Rocks Sydney-“The Simply Italian Great Wines 2019 Tour” held in Sydney 25th November 2019 @The InterContinental Sydney
The Simply Italian Great Wines 2019 Tour was in Sydney this week,.. with a signature walk-around tasting and guided Italian wine masterclasses for trade and media only. Attendees experienced a huge variety of Italy’s best wines and met the winemakers behind them, all under one roof!
The event showcased regional diversity with a superb selection of 100 wines from Italy’s regions ranging from Piedmont, Lombardy, Friuli, Tuscany, Sicily, Veneto, Marches, Abruzzo, Umbria, Puglia, and Campania. Attendees discovered and sampled these exceptional wines, many of which have never been seen before in Australia. There were two dedicated wine tasting zones featuring the wines of the Grandi Marchi and the Marches region. Many participant attended two unique masterclasses hosted by Peter Bourne, showcasing Italy’s most celebrated wineries, one focusing on the wines from Italy’s greatest families, members of the esteemed Grandi Marchi, and the other focused on Italy’s greatest sparkling wine, Franciacorta.
