On Monday 15th May London Wine Fair opens its doors until Wednesday 17th May at Olympia London.
We are excited to announce the 2023 “Wine Writers Edit”, a “top 30” list of wines which will be exhibited at the show, as selected by 10 of the U.K.’s most renowned wine writers.
Each writer selected three wines which they are most looking forward to trying at this year’s Fair. Visitors will be able to taste the full line up at each of the exhibitor’s stands.
The judges were: Tim Atkin MW; Oz Clarke; Jamie Goode; Aleesha Hansel; Brad Horne; Sophia Longhi; Hannah Milnes; Victoria Moore; Jane Parkinson; and Joe Wadsack.
Diversity is a key theme for this year’s Edit, which features 15 different countries, including those off the beaten track, such as Japan, Lebanon, Morocco and Uruguay. There is also a diversity of styles represented, incorporating Umeshu, Pet Net, an amphora gamay and a non-alcoholic sparkling tea.
Greece and South Africa are the leading countries, with four wines apiece featured. But 10% of the wines selected are from one county: Devon! With three wines, all from Sandbridge Barton – The Home of Sharpham Wines. Awin Barratt Siegel Wine Agencies is the leading exhibitor with four wines chosen.
Over 3,328 products are available to view via the London Wine Fair website, so far, with more being added by the hour. |
