Greetings,
I wanted to put on your radar two wine sales in France that have opened for bidding – a private collection of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, and a selection of wines sourced from private cellars across Continental Europe. Together, the 654 lots carry a combined pre-sale estimate in the region of €3 million. Both sales culminate in a live auction on 29 and 30 June, respectively.
Please find below a brief overview of each sale (with links to the full content), and a quote from Amayès Aouli, Head of Auction Sales for Continental Europe, Sotheby’s Wine.
Amayès Aouli, Head of Auction Sales for Continental Europe, Sotheby’s Wine, said: “Our fourth major international wine hub has proved to be a big hit with collectors from across Continental Europe and further afield. Ever since our inaugural wine sale in France last November and the five auctions that have followed, we have seen a strong level of demand from an ever-widening pool of buyers. Besides Hospices de Beaune, these two sales together constitute our highest value offering so far, anchored by a private collection of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti that should please all DRC devotees the world over.”
Should you like to receive further information and/or speak with Amayès, please let me know.
Many thanks and best wishes,
