In general, there are about 250 exhibitors with organic wines at ProWein.
The offer doubled within the last years: 2009 there were 130 exhibitors. In addition there are many exhibitors who produce organic wines and present them at their “normal” booth – without a special indication of organic wine. These events are aimed at retailers and restaurants to an equal extent and provide key impulses and information. -The fizzz Lounge
The team of the 2017 ProWein fizz Lounge will be presenting a host of innovative drinks on all three trade fair days. Acting behind the counter will be Tom Weinberger, Stephan Hinz, Lukas Motejzik and Moritz Niederstrasser – the cocktail avantgarde of the German bar scene. In the fizzz Lounge the bar professionals will demonstrate live how the aromas of coffee, wine and craft beer produce unique cocktails with completely new taste experiences when combined with high-quality spirits.
So far these ingredients have played the lead role at trendy bar counters as “solo artists” – but now their individual aromas are fusing with high-end spirits to bring about entirely new experiences for our taste buds.
Head bartender Tom Weinberger of the bartending college in Munich developed the exclusive cocktails on the main list and will head bar operations on all three days of the trade fair. On top of this, each day will see another highlight in the way of a visiting bartender, who will cover the trend themes like coffee, wine and craft beer with one additional signature drink. On Sunday (19 March) Stephan Hinz will kick off (“Little Link”, Cologne) with the special theme spirits and coffee. Monday (20 March) sees Lukas Motejzik (“Herzog”, Munich) serve new cocktail ideas with wine. On Tuesday (21 March) Moritz Niederstrasser
-New Gastro Offerings
New Gastro offerings for Visitors Catering to trade visitors’ physical well-being will be ProWein’s new Streetfood Park. This large food section is located in Hall 18, the new hall boasting lightweight construction situated in the outdoor grounds.
This area will be backed up with numerous food trucks and will boast free WiFi and seating for some 500 people. There will also be walking vendors in the halls selling pretzels and sandwiches to go.
-ProWein Business Report
The results of the first ProWein Business Report developed in collaboration with Geisenheim University are eagerly awaited and will be presented on the Monday of ProWein. The report is based on a survey among exhibitors and visitors looking at how the sector assesses the current market climate, how the development of individual countries is rated and what growth rates are currently expected.
