From 23 June to 7 July Christie’s will host Japanese Art and its Influence at the European Court Including the Brooksbank Collection of Meissen Kakiemon, an online auction dedicated to Japanese Art commissioned for Europe and the influence this had on porcelain manufacture in Europe. This sale explores the trading relationship between Japan and Europe, as exemplified in particular by the ceramics and lacquer, presenting collectors with an opportunity to purchase in this fascinating period and with estimates ranging from £500 to £80,000.
